More Than a Meal—A Ritual for the Senses

Step into an evening where time slows, flavors deepen, and every moment is infused with intention. This is not just a dinner—it’s an experience designed to restore what modern life has taken: presence, connection, and a sense of belonging.

Your journey begins with a Welcome Juice, a gesture of arrival, a moment to transition from the outside world into something sacred. As you take your first sip, the space opens—inviting you to exhale, to soften, to feel yourself land.

We gather in conversation, weaving stories, sharing wisdom, and receiving the first medicine of the evening—the knowing that you are not alone. Here, in this circle, the weight of burnout and overwhelm can loosen its grip. Then, we invite stillness with a sound journey that allows what has been spoken to settle, integrate, and transform.

Then, the table calls. Five seasonally inspired courses, crafted with reverence for the land and the stewards who tended it, each dish an invitation to slow down, savor, and reconnect—to yourself, to the earth, to the lineage of hands that brought this meal to life. We do not rush here. Each bite is a reminder that nourishment is not just what we eat, but how we receive it.

As the evening winds down, we close with a tea ceremony, sealing the night in reflection and gratitude.

Before you step back into the world, you’ll receive a thoughtfully curated take-home offering—a piece of the evening to carry with you, a ritual to remind you that self-care is not indulgence, it is essential.

This is a space for those who long to feel more deeply, to eat with all their senses, to reclaim their time, their presence, their peace.

Come with an open heart. Leave with a full one.

Who We Are

Toni

From crafting unforgettable meals to creating soul-nourishing experiences, my journey has evolved beyond hospitality into transformation. With over 25 years in food and beverage—from Portland’s vibrant dining scene to the vineyards of the Willamette Valley—I’ve learned that food isn’t just sustenance; it’s a portal to presence, ritual, and connection.

When extraordinary food, intention, and storytelling align, something profound happens—an alchemy that lingers long after the last bite. Through Retreat Through the Drinking Glass, I merge mindful dining with ancient rituals, guiding guests through experiences that nourish the body, quiet the mind, and feed the soul.

This isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. With a heart rooted in hospitality and a calling to create sacred spaces, I invite you to slow down, savor, and rediscover the magic of gathering with intention.

Randal

My culinary journey began with the home-cooked meals of my childhood, from my grandma’s fresh-baked bread and Sunday fried chicken to my mom’s lively gatherings in Boise. Influenced by my Godparents’ Hawaiian recipes and the German cuisine my parents discovered overseas, I developed a love for the way food brings people together.

With over 20 years of experience in the kitchen, my passion has been shaped by the techniques and flavors I’ve encountered through international travel. These adventures, especially our retreats abroad, are a highlight of my career—a chance to immerse myself in global cuisines, explore new techniques, and craft memorable experiences. I’m excited to bring those inspirations to the table for you.
